Working with keystroke sequences
What is a keystroke sequence?
A keystroke sequence is a keyboard keypress used to perform an action in a game. A keystroke sequence can be modified to:
- Refine how the keypresses interact with the game.
- Extend the range of what a button can do on your ThrustMaster control.
There is enormous variety in the way games handle keyboard-based commands. Some games expect only the letters and numbers to be typed, while others use the numeric keypad and "arrow" keys. Some games go further in distinguishing the left and right versions of the same key, as example being some pinball games using the left shift key for the left flipper and the right shift key for the right flipper. A few games go so far as to examine the raw keyboard information as it enters the computer.
On your ThrustMaster control, keyboard-based game actions can be assigned to buttons. When you press such a button, the game will receive the keyboard command you've assigned to the control.
